Shriners Hospitals for Children provide treatment for children up to age of 18 with orthopaedic conditions, spinal cord injuries, cleft lip and palate, and burns.
“Children eligible for care will receive all services regardless of the patient’s ability to pay”, said Gary McDaniels, potentate (president) of Mohammed Shriners in Peoria. “Our Shriners Hospitals provide the best care available anywhere and we really want to help wherever we can”, he added.
Proctor Hospital is also the location where Shriners Hospitals for Children telemedicine services are provided between Peoria and Shriners Hospitals for Children in St. Louis, Chicago and Cincinnati. Mohammed Shriners also provide free lodging and transportation to the hospitals for all patients and parents.
